Initially, a vibrant, cool, and slightly bitter greenness is felt. Then, moist tree bark, shadowy forest floor, and dry woody layers become distinct. Over time, the scent becomes more rounded, velvety, and deep.
This is not the bright green of freshly cut grass. It is a darker, more mature, and earthy green. It is damp but not muddy; strong but not noisy. It is like touching the trunk of a tree in a secluded forest, where the sun cannot reach.
Don't let the "moss" in its name mislead you: Oakmoss is not botanically a moss but a lichen called Evernia prunastri, which mostly grows on tree barks. Its unique identity is what makes it one of the most distinctive natural raw materials in perfumery.
Especially in the unforgettable, shadowy green base of chypre and fougère structures, there is a trace of Oakmoss. How should I apply this oud?
Apply a single drop to pulse points — wrist, neck, behind the ears. Concentrated oils bloom over minutes, so wear sparingly.
How long does it last?
Pure oud oil is exceptionally long-lasting; expect 10–12 hours on skin and considerably longer on fabric.
How is it shipped?
